Autumn Surprise

Two weeks ago when I had originally planned to visit this place, we were hit by a cold wave and within one day the autumn scenery turned into winter.
Back in the valley, where there's shadow most of the time, some puddles were still frozen. In this one, below a thin layer of ice, you still can see the surprised leafs, frozen in time.

Wonderful image Andreas, one of the best autumn captures I've seen! Actually it's autumn within winter, you managed to cature the transition from one season to the other in a beautiful, abstract yet very painterly way!
