Icy Cascades by AndreasResch Icy Cascades by AndreasResch
Icy Creek

I've been to this gorge so many times, but I've never been to this spot before. Today I've found the path that leads to this little cascade - in Winter without all the leaves it's just easier to see through the forest.
Temperatures are very low for a few days now and everything's going to turn into ice sooner or later within the next few days.

[EDIT] Added a little more blue to the snow.

This is gorgeous! I'm still trying to figure out how to get the water to look like that in my work.

It's a series of things ... right exposure, right shutter speed, Nik Viveza, Nik Color Efex (Tonal Contrast).

Sorry - I'm in two groups already and can't even cope with all the images there. But I submitted this one as a fav. Thanks for the invitation anyway.

Apart from the light lacking somewhat, and areas looking oversharpened, very nice shot.

Absolutely stunning. Do you run a high pass filter in PS as an overlay?

No ... the fine details are the result of Nik Viveza 2 and Nik Color Efex (Tonal Contrast).

Man yet another reason i want that entire suite. I originally just wanted the Silver Efex but now i want them all.

The suite thing is a pity though as I really just needed the "Tonal Contrast" and had to get the full package.

Nice! Hope you'll get some ice shots for us and perhaps even a little more zoomed out. I'd love to see the surroundings too! Anyway........ pretty shot. I am thinking of heading to some waterfall shots myself here. Should be nice and cold, wet, and slippery. Of course I don't do a shoot like this alone. So, I have to find a DA friend to go with me.
