This shot was taken at a place that a fellow photographer showed me on a recent scouting trip. This peak is amongst the highest of the "Gesäuse" in lovely Styria.

Thanks for noticing, but these are just noise artifacts created by the somewhat aggressive downsizing action. Nothing that can't be taken care of in full resolution.

With HDR you just haven't got the options you have with manual masking. It's more work but it pays off.
