I love the color and the composition, but the rocks look weird, almost like there was too much post processing sharpening applied. It destroys all eye movement in the piece.

Could be that the sharpening looks too strong on the rocks ... web display always is a compromise.

did you sharpen the full size and then scale down for web or scale down and then sharpen? For web display it seems to work better to do the latter.

I've updated the image. Less sharpening in the high contrast areas now.
I use a sharpening that action that I've refined over the years. It's working in the lab color space and takes into account edges.
